1st Dec: Stargazing // Moving up to Scotland I had hoped one day to see the northern lights up here. And last year, the Northern light I did seeeee!! And have a few times now! When the sky’s are clear 😅 the amount of stars visible is astounding.

On this trip:
I had a red alert from the Aurora app on my phone, chucked my camera bag in the van and headed out. When I got to my location I started to see faint white columns in the distance. Set my camera up and prepared myself for any more action. Within 30mins the westerly skys were lit up with vivid dancing columns lining far up from the horizon! My stomach, like butterfly sanctuary, made the experience almost spiritual, I must say! Brilliant and I hope to see more soon!

All this talk about the snow coming has got me hyped for a Scottish winter. I’ve been considering doing some snow safety training to feel more confident getting to areas in the highlands I wouldn’t normally go in the snow. Exploration is endless in the Scotland so stoked to get to it this winter again. The snow and ice bring such incredible shapes, forms, reflections and patterns. Completely transform familiar landscapes into foreign lands. Love it.

So last month I was fortunate enough to be part of the @seawilding volunteer program. An absolutely incredible weekend of learning about Seagrass, native Oyster reintroduction to Scottish waters and getting hands on Seagrass seed harvesting!

Check out @seawilding for everything they are doing in the rewilding space.

The planting of the Seagrass beds, which you can sea in the first photo, has proven to work and can be replicated across our waters! This brings many ocean species back to our waters that have disappeared, while battling climate change in producing more oxygen and taking in CO2.

‘Shifting rainbows’ after making it to the top of Benvane in Stirlingshire, with the rain showers and sun pools, I waited to see if I could see a rainbow… and wow I saw a few this being the best! The rainbows were moving across the landscape with the Strong winds. Absolutely beautiful.

I’m forever searching for innovative ideas to make city centres more fun, creative and colourful as who wants a grey city! Well this skate comp in Glasgow offered it in buckets. The new skatepark inbuilt into the architecture of the Riverside Museum (Transport) is absolutely inspired! Love it. You could walk past it not knowing there was even a skate park there. Bravvvvoo to @archifringe @glasgowcc @glasgowurbansports (and anyone else that was involved in this creation) love to seem more like this!!

As far as the comp went it was a hell of an event and what a location with the tall ship and jaw dropping transport building as a back drop!

The endless rainbow - Isle of Lewis Pt1

Finally getting round to showing you my trip!
•
Story time: The first surf I had on the island was on the West coast (shown in photos)It was one of those days where the sun wanted to show it’s face but had to work with the clouds to do so. This lead to a constant like 4hr rainbow just out from where we were surfing. That combined with the clear water and pumping surf, It was truly an incredible start. The surf was about 4-6ft and was coming through all day. I only caught a couple the first surf of the day, as I was just a bit rusty (definitely doesn’t always happen 👀🤣) but to be honest being in the water just taking it all in was enough. (For surfers out there, yes it was one of those days catching one decent one and accepting it’s not going to get much better than that haha) Met some real nice people out there from all round the UK. #rainbowsurfs

Well yesterday was expectedly wild down at Ceriad. Being overcast there wasn’t much colour about so I turned this into a black and white. I think it works well. Really happy with the shot! Love the birds playing above the stormy sea. That lick of wave face makes it for me!

I have been wanting to get more involved with the local skate community for a while now, as for me growing up it provided such a solid group of friends (skatefam) and it’s an amazing way for people to express themselves, get creative, push your boundaries and fear levels. All round it’s just an awesome culture to get involved in.

That is what this SKATE event was all about, a celebration of it all. So stoked to be involved.

The sea was so clear over the weekend and with no surf I decided to head underwater. And thank god did. I had an amazing time exploring around near Rhosneigr, Anglesey. It really is a whole other world under there!! I’m hoping to get out a lot more this summer. Who knows I might come out with an underwater calendar this year!
